on a golden Autumn morning or afternoon ...
WHERE TIME IS CARVED
TO WANDER, EXPLORE & JUST BE IN NATURE
TO NOTICE & APPRECIATE
TO SLOW DOWN
TO SHARE, TO COLLECT
WITH NO OBLIGATION TO CREATE OR BE PRODUCTIVE OR TO ACHIEVE
ANYTHING OTHER THAN COMFORT IN OUR BELLIES
BREATHING SPACE IN OUR BRAINS
& DELIGHT IN OUR HEARTS
TAKE WHAT YOU NEED FROM THE EXPERIENCE, LEAVE WITH WHAT YOU CAN
COME AS YOU ARE OR BRING SOMEONE YOU LOVE
Layer your favourite comfy clothes, pop on some boots & pack your favourite mug. Take an adventure to the quiet town of Yanderra near Bargo & enter KTK Baking. You will be welcomed by the smell of bush honey Anzac bikkies being removed from the oven and a warm beverage of your choice will be poured into your mug.
Once gathered & with cups filled, we will wander together to take note of the delicate beauty of our Australian bushland & all it has to offer — the cooling smell of fresh eucalyptus and the feeling of the Autumn sun - or wind, or rain. We will pause to notice the textures, patterns and pockets of light all around us, allowing the quiet rhythm of the bush to slow our pace and bring our attention gently back to the present moment. We will notice the air. We will notice our breath.
Being in the moment with natural elements we will forage for small seasonal offerings — fallen golden leaves, intricate seed pods, sprigs of native herbs, intriguing bundles of greenery and other quiet treasures the bush is ready to share. The conversation will flow however it comes naturally but our brains will also have the opportunity to breathe. We'll remind ourselves that we - our bodies - are nature too, & that so much of who we are is informed by the seasons.
With baskets of bush treasures in hand, we will then return to the comfort of the KTK Baking where we will sit & rest & be nourished with a selection of delicious treats & foods to share all made with love and intention. Your cup will be re-filled. You may let out a gentle sigh. Your heart will smile.
Then we will just be. There will be meandering conversations and gentle opportunities to pause and reflect. Available to you will be a variety of materials and mediums where you can quietly document your thoughts, sketch the forms you noticed in the bush, or craft intentional handwritten keepsake words to yourself or another. Feel free to navigate this space in any way you choose.
Your hosts will present small offerings from their own crafts — thoughtfully selected gifts, embedded with meaning — as a way of further reviving and nourishing the significance we place in the little things. Connection may naturally flourish, or you may choose to look inwards - or simply allow you mind to wander. The time is yours.
Together we will close the gathering with a sense of warmth, connection and gratitude for the season, for ourselves and for the simple act of sharing time.
